A stand-back view of our progress so far

Setting up the FWD Bulkhead now assists in aligning the rest of the hull plates at the bow....

Note the beauty and clean air our friends live in "Down Under" A great shot, thanks Pete!

A quick and easy way to bring the bottom plate up to mate with the deep floors.

Making sure everything is plumb and centered at all times is a must.

Ahh there she is... Right on center !

Here you can clearly see the tabs on the keel and BTM Plate that assist in aligning the weld joint.. These will be cut off after tacking and prior to welding.

Here we see all the Deep Floors and tank parts lined up and tacked. The fellows started mid-ships and worked their way towards each end fitting the parts. The tank tops will come off and go for drilling before final welding .... All these parts must be fitted before we can instal more hull plating. This gives us a solid base that will resist twisting while the rest goes up.

OK now we can get on to installing the next hull plate.

Note the angle bar clamped to the upper edge of the plate to keep it from kinking while being hoisted. Also note the jig being used as lifting points.

Whew! One last plate to go in.

Note the plank at the transom being used to slide the plate up into the hull.

Time to stand back and have another look!

It should be noted that the time frame to this point is just a couple of weekends!
